HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Honolulu couple accused of supplying drugs in a deadly mass overdose in Waikiki made their initial appearance in federal court on Tuesday. Based on the charging documents, lawyers say Avery Garrard and his girlfriend Keina Drageset were major fentanyl distributors in Hawaii. When federal investigators searched the couple's Honolulu Symphony apartment last Friday, they said they discovered more than a pound of fentanyl on their kitchen table. They also found an undescribed amount of meth and $100,000 in cash stored in a safe.
