The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival will return to Kailua-Kona on Hawaii Island Nov. 4-13. The 10-day festival features over 40 events, including farm tours from Greenwell Farms and UCC Hawaii Kona Coffee Estate, coffee workshops, contests and live entertainment. Since its inception in 1970, the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival organization has sought to both preserve and promote Kona's nearly 200-year coffee heritage, according to a spokesperson for the festival. "The Kona Coffee Cultural Festival's intent is to promote the personalized interaction between tourism and agriculture and to strengthen agricultural tourism in Hawaii," Laura Aquino, a spokesperson for the event, told Pacific Business News in an email.
