Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies has opened a new office in Kailua-Kona, along with its second Mana Mama mobile clinic to continue its efforts in improving maternal, child and family health within the Islands, the nonprofit recently announced. This expansion to further support families with limited access to maternal and infant care comes at a critical time: Based on state data, nearly all indicators for perinatal and infant health on Hawaii Island are worse than statewide and national rates, according to officials with the organization.
