The Outback Steakhouse in Hawaii Kai is closing Feb. 26 and the Kihei location shuttered Feb. 19 due to expiring leases, according to spokesperson from Bloomin' Brands Inc, the parent company of the restaurants. 'We appreciate the community's support the past 22 years and hope guests will join us at our Waipio or Kapolei restaurants,' said Elizabeth Daly, director of media and community relations for Bloomin' Brands, in an email to PBN. Bloomin' Brands is a Florida-based dining company with more than 1,450 restaurants, including chains such as Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Flemming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Aussie Grill Outback.
